1. Do I have to pay or book to get in?

It's free to enter Underbelly Festival, so you can sit and enjoy a drink in the sunshine and some delicious street food at your leisure!

You do not need to book a table or time slot to enter.

We have ticketed shows on offer in our Spiegeltent. Visit our on-site Box Office or buy tickets online!

2. What are Underbelly Festival's opening times?

12pm - 11pm, Monday - Friday 

10am - 11pm, Saturday - Sunday

3. How do I get to Underbelly Festival?

There are multiple ways you can travel to the Festival

UNDERGOUND
The nearest London Underground station is Oxford street which is a 5-minute walk away. Oxford Street

Underground Station has the Bakerloo, Victoria and Central lines.

BUS
There a also 17 bus stops within a 5 min walk.

CYCLE
The nearest Santander Cycle Hire docking stations are located at Chapel Place, Broadcasting House and Little Argyle Street. All a short walk from Cavendish Square.

TAXI
There is a 24-hour taxi rank available on Cavendish Square at John Lewis.

PARKING

4. What precautions are you taking for COVID19?

Underbelly is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all and takes the hygiene of and around its events very seriously.

We have designed our sites to allow visitors to socialise safely whilst maintaining physical distance from others. Underbelly has been awarded the Visit England ‘We’re Good to Go’ Industry Standard mark.

The safety of our visitors and staff is our priority. We will be following the government advice throughout the festival, updating this page as more information is released.

Here's what we're doing to help keep everyone safe, and what you can do to help. These are in line with Government advice and the requirements of local health authorities.

Distance
Follow markers in queues and observe social distancing when moving around the event site

E-tickets
For tickets purchased online e-tickets are preferred. If required, tickets are available to be collected at the Box Office.

Face Masks – will update when the advice is clear
Under current government guidance, face masks must be worn when watching shows in our Spiegeltent. This may be subject to change in line with government guidance. The rest of the festival site is outdoors so face masks are not required.

Hand Sanitiser
Regularly use the hand sanitising stations throughout the site

Social Distancing in venues
All shows at Underbelly Festival are being sold as a socially distanced performances with a reduced capacity, in line with UK Government’s social-distancing guidelines. If the Government guidance changes, we will follow their advice and increase our capacity.

Our venues may move from socially distanced seating to full capacity seating. If this happens, ticket holders will be notified of the change to your booking as soon as possible.

Cleaning
We will have increased cleaning and sanitation of all areas throughout the festival

Contactless Payment
For everyone’s safety, contactless payments are preferred at Underbelly Festival.

Feeling Unwell with COVID-19 symptoms?
We will be following government guidance throughout Underbelly Festival. If you test positive for COVID-19 or are required to isolate due to close contact with a COVID-19 infected individual or are requested to do so by the NHS Track and Trace app, do not come to site.

If this happens to you, please email boxoffice@underbelly.co.uk prior to the performance taking place and we will organise an exchange for another show in the festival or a credit voucher.

5. What is NHS Test & Trace Policy at Underbelly Festival?

Anyone aged 16 or over will be required to sign in using the NHS Track and Trace app on entry to the site. For those who cannot access the app, a written log will be securely kept of visitors.

6. Are dogs allowed at Underbelly Festival?

Dogs are allowed on the grass area of Underbelly Festival. They must be kept on a lead at all times and are not permitted inside the Spiegeltent.

7. How can I locate my lost property?

8. Is there a cloakroom?

Unfortunately we do not currently provide a cloakroom service. 

9. What toilet facilities are at Underbelly Festival?

Female, male and gender neutral toilet facilities are located within the Underbelly Festival site. There is an accessible toilet located within this toilet compound.

10. Is there disabled parking?

A disabled parking space is also on Cavendish Square, in addition to this there are 14 other Blue Badge Bays within 300m of the Square. 12. How accessible is the site for people with mobility issues?

Underbelly Festival Cavendish Square is an accessible site with ramped access throughout and into the Spiegeltent venue. There is an accessible toilet which also contains baby changing facilities.

The box office counter has a dropped window to facilitate access. Our outdoor bar also has a low-level section of the counter. The bar within the spiegeltent and our food concessions do not have a low-level counter section, however staff are more than happy to come out from behind the counter to take your order.

The Spiegeltent venue has a hearing loop. Please ask a front of house staff member if you have any questions about this.

If you are coming to see a show at an Underbelly venue, you may be eligible for a complimentary seat for your personal assistant or carer. Please contact access@underbelly.co.uk to learn more, or fill out this form to register yourself on our access list. 13. Are there age restrictions for accessing the site?

Whilst the site is suitable for children of all ages, we would recommended that children are accompanied at all times by a responsible adult of 18 years or over. 

14. Can I bring my own food and drink into Underbelly Festival?

Only food and drink purchased at Underbelly Festival may be eaten on the premises, with the exception of baby food. No glass may be brought onto the site.

15. What bag can I bring with me?

Bags may be searched, The Event Organiser reserves the right to search clothing for security reasons. 

16. What security measures are in place?

To ensure your safety, we have SIA accredited security onsite at all times, at the entrances and patrolling throughout the site. We have a comprehensive CCTV system in place, and bag searches in operation on entry to the site.

Please keep your personal belongings with you at all times. Security will be called to deal with unattended items and they may be removed.

17. Sustainability policy

Visitors are strongly encouraged to travel on foot, bike or by public transport.

Underbelly will provide suitable facilities for visitors, traders and operators to recycle their waste and all site waste will be sorted off site to divide out recyclable and non-recyclable materials. Power, lighting and water usage is minimised wherever possible.

Traders and operators will be encouraged to procure products from sustainable sources where possible and the vast majority of the Underbelly infrastructure is permanent or is re-used year after year.

Underbelly uses local staff and crew where possible and encourages traders and operators to do the same. 

18. Photography and filming

Photography and filming on site is only allowed for personal use. If you have any commercial or editorial photography or filming requests, please contact our press office to request accreditation in advance of arriving at: underbelly@borkowski.co.uk

All amateur photographer groups must also request photography accreditation in advance of arriving on site. We thank you for your co-operation.

19. Box Office FAQs

How do I book a ticket?

The best way to book a ticket is on our website. Our Box Office team can be contacted by email boxoffice@underbelly.co.uk.

Once the site opens on the 1st of July tickets can be purchased in person at our box office or over the phone.

Is the seating allocated or reserved?

Seating is unallocated within each ticket price band. Tickets can be purchased in the following sections

Posh - Priority admission to the venue and a guaranteed seat in the centre section!

Do I need a physical ticket?

Please note, we will not be posting out any physical tickets. If you are purchasing the ticket as a gift, you can simply forward on the email containing your tickets. 

For tickets purchased online e-tickets are preferred. If required, tickets are available to be collected at the Box Office.

Do you have a Babes in Arms Policy?

Unless stated otherwise in the event listing, children under 2 are free as long as they do not take up a seat.

I have specific requirements for my booking. How do I book?

If there is anything that you would like us to be aware of before booking, for example you are a wheelchair user or require a hearing loop, email boxoffice@underbelly.co.uk and we will be happy to help.

What happens if the show is cancelled? 

If the show is cancelled for whatever reason, we will of course provide a full refund on your tickets, or if you would prefer, an exchange for an alternative night (this will be subject to availability). We are closely monitoring the government guidance and will communicate any changes to your booking as quickly as possible via email. 

What happens if I, or any member of my party feel unwell?

If you are feeling unwell or must self-isolate, please do not attend the theatre. 

Email boxoffice@underbelly.co.uk prior to the show taking place and will look to exchange your tickets to another suitable performance or a credit voucher
