Easter Weekend at Underbelly Festival Southbank

18th Apr 2019

Hooray for a long weekend of sunny weather ahead! Make sure you add Underbelly Festival Southbank onto your Easter weekend checklist. With both of our beautiful venues filled with shows,  and one of London’s largets outdoor bars, what better way to spend your 4 days of chocolate filled bliss.

Little Death Club opens on in the Spiegeltent this Thursday as Bernie Dieter and her travelling family of fantastic freaks and misfits storm the South Bank. Enter... if you dare! The 'genuinely jaw-dropping' (Time Out) A Simple Space also continue to amaze this Easter weekend (excluding Easter Monday).

Good Friday

We'll make this Good Friday a Great Friday with family shows Monstersaurus (until 22 April), based on the hit children's book performing all weekend, and circus extraordinaires Chores in The Belly Theatre.

Don't spend the night binging Netflix when you can see Notflix – The Improvised Musical (19 – 20 April). Watch the lightening quick cast improvise a brand-new musical based on your suggestions from your recently watched films.

Or, get celebrating the weekend in style, with The Tuckshop Live. A fierce line-up of the UK's biggest drag names will come together in one lip-sinking extravaganza.

Screaming With Laughter, London's original daytime comedy club, is ready to entertain where babies can come too! Comedians Hatty Ashdown and Josie Long know how to make new parents laugh.

London Comedy Allstars is back for another Saturday night session. This week Josie Long, Danny McLoughlin, Tania Edwards, Michael Odewale and Stuart Goldsmith take to the stage.

Easter Sunday

Get the whole family out of the house to see watch Shakespeare's most famous tragedy, Romeo & Juliet be 'rubbished' at Rubbish Shakespeare with an all-silly troupe for an hour of floppy swords, tragic wigs, multi-rolling and hilarious storytelling.

Or, join time travelling magicians Morgan and West in a mind boggling and brain busting show, perfect for all ages 4 to 104!

Easter Monday

Finishing off Family Fest in style is The Fun Kids Epic Roadshow Adventure. Can you help presenters Bex and Dan impress their bosses in making the best roadshow ever?

Plus, there'll be laughs aplenty with the Comedy Club 4 Kids that'll have you laughing all the way home.

And for the adults, top political comedian and presenter of the chart topping Political Party Podcast Matt Forde brings his Edinburgh smash hit Brexit Through The Gift Shop to finish off your Easter weekend in style.

So what are you waiting for. Grab some friends and a drink, and come and spend your long weekend with us in the sun!
