Your 2019 is about to get a whole lot more exciting as we’ve announced our first 74 shows set to entertain you from 5 April – 29 September.

For the 11th year, we take over the Southbank for 5 months of affordable entertainment, and with so many shows, you’ll find something to tickle your fancy. Take a look at the whole programme on our website.

Introducing our headline acts…

A Simple Space 5 April – 5 May
Opening in The Belly, the legendary Gravity & Other Myths bring their iconic stripped back circus show as seven acrobats push their physical limits. Simultaneously raw, frantic and delicate, discover the amazing ability and strength of the human body. 

Little Death Club  18 April – 23 June
Join Bernie Dieter in the darkest, funniest and most debauched kabarett club this side of Berlin! Breathtaking circus and debaucherous mayhem with an all-star lineup from across the globe.

YUMMY 27 June – 28 July
Making it’s London debut, this drag extravaganza is an explosion of dazzling costumes, electrifying dance and filthy humour which will take you on the most delicious and unpredictable ride of your life.

Podcast Live

Our new Podcast Live season brings some of the biggest podcasters to our venues, recorded live in front of a studio audience. 

Our season includes, A Gay and A Non Gay, the “consistently hilarious” (Fest) Hoovering Podcast – Live with Jessica Fostekew and In Conversation with Standard Issue. Irish comedy weirdos Dreamgun bring their unrehearsed performance of Jaws, Ctrl Alt Delete with Emma Gannon delves into relationships with the Internet, and the “oh-so-relateable” Nobody Panic help us to become full functioning adults. 

Also including a showcase of the Best of the British Podcasting Awards, this season is not one to miss. 

Family Fest

We’ve got our biggest family programme ever, kicking off with Family Fest running throughout the Easter Holiday. Featuring stage adaptations of MONSTERSAURUS!, Shark In The Park and Elmer The Patchwork Elephant, as well as The Gruffalo, The Witch, and the Warthog with Julia Donaldson.  

Cracking Comedy

It wouldn’t be summer without catching some of the biggest names in comedy including Mark Watson, John Robins, AbandomanFin Taylor and Sean McLoughlin. Or, if you can’t choose just one, the London Comedy Allstars is the show to see, with weekly shows featuring top names such as Josie Long, Phil Wang, Rachel Parris, Jayde Adams and Ed Gamble. 

Try something new…

Fancy something a little bit different and unpredictable? From magic and circus, to cabaret and even bingo (?!), we’ve got you covered. The vintage musical extravaganza, Miss Kiddy and the Cads returns, former music hall singer turned rap star Ida Barr will be dropping her patented bingo calls, whilst Gals Aloud will bring the nostalgia and noughties tunes.

Underbelly Lates

Look no further, your weekends are sorted, with a unique twist. Grab your friends and your dancing shoes with shows that’ll start your night right. Exercise those vocal chords with The Massaoke Band, dance like no one’s watching with the Silent Disco Show and celebrate the craziness of the biggest night on the calendar with Alternative Eurovision
