Summer Holidays on the Southbank
10th Aug 2018
Summer holidays are in full swing and boy has London been rocking with the weather to match. We’ve got you covered both hot and cold with our action-packed list of things to keep both you and the kids thoroughly entertained.
Shows at the Underbelly Festival
Aliens Love Underpants
14 August-30 September
The Aliens are back again on the Southbank with the sole purpose of entertaining the little ones. A zany and hilarious tale full of stunning effects, madcap action, original music. This out of the world show is guaranteed to have you and the kids laughing your pants off.
Morgan & West’s Utterly Spiffing Spectacular Magic Show For Kids (and Childish Grown-ups)!
Monday 27 August, 1pm & 3pm
Don’t let the kids have all the fun this summer, unleash the wacky childish adult within and join time travelling magicians Morgan & West on a mind frying magical adventure this bank holiday.
Splash Test Dummies
Saturday 8 September, 11am
The fun doesn’t stop, even when the kids are back at school as The Dummies are splashing their way to the Southbank, for an hour long show filled with comedy and circus fun for the whole family.
And from our friends and neighbours:
Jeppe Hein’s Appearing Rooms Fountains
Royal Festival Hall – Riverside Terrace, level 2
The perfect place for you and the kids to play and burn off some energy. ‘Shooting jets of water into the air, the fountain creates rooms that disappear as quickly as they emerge.’ Word of warning, guess wrong and end up soaked.
Southbank Centre Beach
Outdoor space by the Southbank centre
Just because you’re not at the seaside, it doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the beach. Grab a bucket and spade and create a spectacular sandcastle with the little ones, as you enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Southbank, in the sunshine.
There’s plenty to do, play and see on the Southbank this summer, so bring the family down and create memories worthy of the family photo album.
