The 10 Best Purple Things in London

24th Mar 2015

As you can probably tell, us Udderbelly folk love all things purple. With just over two weeks to go until Udderbelly Festival brings a splash of purple to the South Bank for a seventh year of moo-vellous entertainment, we thought we'd celebrate our favourite purple things in our favourite city...

10. The Metropolitan Line

Everyone's favourite tube line, right? We're currently arguing over whether it's purple or magenta. This author thinks it's purple. TFL provide some extremely detailed colour guidelines here, which are strangely fascinating.

9. Deep Purple

Deep Purple are a legendary rock band who formed in 1968. They've just announced a one-off London show in December at the 02 Arena. We hope they'll ALL be wearing purple.

8. The Purple Salon

The Purple Salon on Berwick Street, Soho, is perhaps the friendliest salon in London. We know this because our very own purple cow popped in for a perm last summer (see no. 5).

7. The Sky

If only the sky were always this purple. Oh well, there's always Photoshop.

6. This Hoodie

5. Violet the Cow

Our very own purple cow escaped from our office last March, only to be spotted living the high life in London two weeks later! Luckily she returned just in time to launch Udderbelly Festival 2014...

4. The Purple Turtle

The Purple Turtle is a vibrant live music venue in Camden. We haven't yet seen an actual purple turtle in there, but we won't give up hope.

3. This Lamborghini being given a parking ticket in Kensington

2. The Queen

1. Udderbelly Festival

Oh come on, of COURSE the most ox-cellent festival in town is our number one purple thing in London. And with only two weeks to go until Udderbelly opens to the public, we couldn't be more excited! See the full 2015 line-up here.

Have we missed anything? Send us your favourite purple things below!
